Tiny House
June 2018 | Thayer School of Engineering | Team of 5
Overview
The Dartmouth Organic Farm challenged Thayer's structural engineering class to design a tiny house that could be used by student interns as they work on the fields. The house would need to be under 400 sq. ft. and comply with Hanover's property laws.
My team designed a zero-net energy house that could be mounted on a 36' trailer. The house would include a tool storage room, food preparation area, seating space, and lofts. Students would be able to use this space for shade, naps, and lunch during work breaks.
